Things to do in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Fairbanks is the second most populated city within the state of Alaska. Mostly due in part to the two large military bases within 30 miles of the city. Within minutes of any direction you can find plenty of great opportunities for hunting, fishing, sight seeing, hiking, and just about anything you can imagine. Fairbanks has a large variety of cultural restaurants and fine dining choices. Fairbanks is situated in the central part of Alaska and is a midpoint when traveling the Richardson and Parks Highways.
If you are in Fairbanks during the summer months there are many activities at the Pioneer Park located off Airport and College Road. The park hosts the 4th of July carnival and many other attractions. The park is also home to the Alaska Salmon Bake. They serve all you can eat crab legs, prime rib, and many other great foods.
